I hope you had a happy Christmas and are enjoying the festive period in spite of the continuing epidemic.

As announced in the lecture last week, instead of the lecture and exercise class this week you have "holiday homework" which is to watch two short videos on mathematics in English: "Linear transformations and matrices" and "Matrix multiplication as composition". These are also linked from the bottom of the "Lectures" section on the course webpage on spletna učilnica.

The goal in watching the videos is to understand both the English and the mathematics. The mathematics presents linear algebra from a different perspective, which we shall build upon in the lecture of Tuesday 4th January.
