As already announced in lectures, the course will follow a nonstandard timetable this week.
Due to the public holiday, there is no lecture on Wednesday 27th April.
Instead, there will be a nonstandard lecture in the exercise-class slot on Thursday 28th April (16.00-18.00 in room 2.02). This lecture will be on mathematical consequences of AC including Vitali's theorem (examinable) and the (in)famous Banach-Tarski theorem (non-examinable).
For those unable to make the lecture, it will be recorded and put on YouTube as usual. However, in my experience, the video camera in 2.02 does not focus well and cannot be zoomed, so the quality of the video may be suboptimal.
With best wishes,
Alex Simpson
